Antorjatik Gosai Parab has emerged as one of the largest folk festivals and handicraft fairs in West Bengal, with a significant presence in the Hooghly District. Approximately 250 artisans gather to showcase their exquisite handmade products, including the famous Afgani Shawl and Bangladeshi Nakshi Kantha.

The festival offers a diverse range of traditional Bengali cuisine, including the popular Pithe Puli. Visitors can savor the delicious flavors of Bengal’s rich food culture, with numerous stalls serving authentic dishes from various districts.

To promote the festival, a team of 300 members embark on a month-long campaign, visiting various locations and performing folk music to connect with the local community. The team also creates posters, banners, and social media content to spread the word. Additionally, 50,000 leaflets are distributed door-to-door, and 20 gates are set up throughout the town to publicize the event.

Last year, the team sent out 1 lakh postcards through the post office to invite people to the festival.
